Pink Door’s client closet has hundreds of options across a wide range of sizes, so you do not need to worry about shopping for your session.

Before you come in, you’ll fill out a styling questionnaire to tell us a little about your style and the looks you love.

While you’re getting your hair and makeup done, your photographer will choose outfit options for you to try based on your preferences and the sets you want to use. You’ll have the final say on everything you wear. You can bring a favorite piece if you’d like, but you do not have to bring your own wardrobe.

BOUDOIR SESSION FAQ

Can I do this if I’ve never had a boudoir shoot?

Yes! Your photographer demonstrates the poses and guides the details, including your hands and expression. We’ll walk you through the entire process step by step.

What if I’m unsure about my body or how I’ll look?

You can talk with us about what you’d like help with before you book. Your photographer helps with wardrobe, lighting, and posing for the photos you want.

What can I wear, and what sizes do you have?

Our client closet includes hundreds of options across a wide range of sizes. Your styling questionnaire helps us choose options for you. You can bring a favorite piece if you’d like, and you can tell us how much coverage feels right for you.

Can my hair and makeup be subtle?

Absolutely! Your hair and makeup can be as natural or as glam as you’d like. Just let your artist know what you’re comfortable with, and feel free to bring inspiration photos. Professional hair and makeup are included with your session.

How do we plan my session?

We start with a quick consultation call to go over the experience, pricing, and any questions you have. Once you book, we’ll send you everything you need to prepare, including a short questionnaire about your style, preferences, and what you’re envisioning for your photos. Your photographer will use your answers to help plan your session and choose outfit options for you.

How much does it cost?

We’ll go over the current session offer, photo and product pricing, and answer your questions on a quick consultation call so you know exactly what to expect before you book.

How long will I be at the studio?

Allow about three to four hours for hair and makeup, your shoot, a break, and the same-day viewing and ordering appointment.

When do I see and choose my photos?

On the day of your shoot. We prepare the photos right after your shoot, then look through them with you and help you choose your favorites. Photos and products are purchased separately from the session.

Will my photos be retouched?

Yes. Your purchased photos receive professional retouching after selection. Tell us your preferences, including any features you want to keep as they are. You’ll have a chance to give feedback on the edited photos.

Who gets to see my photos?

Your photos are completely private unless you give Pink Door written permission to share them. We will never post your photos on our website, social media, or in advertising without your consent. You always decide who gets to see your photos.

When will I receive my order?

Digital photos are delivered within three weeks of your order being paid off. Physical products ship to your home from the lab after you approve the retouching. If you have a gift date in mind, tell us before booking so we can confirm timing for the products you want.

Where is Pink Door?

307 Merchant St. in downtown Vacaville, California. Clients visit from the Bay Area, Sacramento, and surrounding Northern California communities.

Who can book a boudoir session?

Pink Door photographs clients 21 and older who identify as women. We are proudly LGBTQ+ friendly. Bring a government-issued ID.
