There are SO many options to choose from when deciding what to wear, buy, or leave behind for your session, and we know it can get overwhelming when it’s time to pack up your closet the night before your shoot. We thought we’d share a couple of tips and ideas to help!

Dresses
Dresses are a super common piece that seniors want to include for their sessions. We know that short white dresses are a major staple for our seniors, especially under their grad caps and gowns. The key to picking out any dress for your session is quality and length.
Especially if you’re hoping to wear the classic white dress for your session, trying it on and wearing it out in natural light is super important. The last thing you want is a transparent dress that you didn’t know was see through until the morning light hits it during our session (yikes!).
Length is also a super important thing to consider when choosing to wear a dress for your session. Sure, shorter dresses may look super cute while standing, but if a dress is too short, you’ll be super limited when it comes to posing. We like to get as many poses in each outfit as possible, and if your dress is too short to sit, lay, or twirl in, we won’t be able to pose you to your full potential! Short dresses aren’t the only problem though, when trying on maxi dresses, make sure they’re not too long that you’re constantly tripping on it’s train!

Rompers + Jumpsuits
Rompers and jumpsuits make for very easy outfit creation, but their fit can get tricky. Since these pieces are connected from head to toe, making sure that the proportions are fitting to your body is key. No one wants a wedgie when you’re trying to feel like Gigi Hadid. Make sure any romper or jumpsuit is fitting in all of the right places!
Since these pieces are an easy one and done, don’t be afraid to add some extra style elements to spice it up! Whether that’s a jacket, a pair of tights, or other layering options, adding some dimension to this type of outfit is always worth a try!

Cute Pants + Top
A classic look that can be easily dressed up or down! When going for a more casual look, be careful not to get too comfortable. While your trusty pair of blue jeans and go-to t-shirt may be easy to style, it might not give what it needs to give in front of the camera. Jeans and t-shirts can often lose their original shape and look less flattering in photos, so make sure to try taking a couple of test photos to make sure it’s the look you want!
To dress up this style, try pairing a more fitted pair of jeans with a more structured top. 

Undergarments
This might be the most important factor of your session wardrobe: NEUTRAL UNDERGARMENTS. A cute outfit means nothing if a pink bra strap is poking out of your top! Not only should these pieces be neutral, but they should also coordinate with your outfit. If you have to pack 3 different bra styles, then so be it! 

Shoes
Shoes are an underrated way to take your outfit up a notch. Just be cautious of the type of footwear you’re bringing to your locations. For instance, heels and sand don’t really go together, so consider bringing a pair for every location type you’re hoping to shoot in! Comfortable AND cute is the goal!

Accessories
We don’t recommend layering too much jewelry with your outfits, since we don’t want anything to distract from you! We DO recommend your everyday jewelry, it only makes sense to rock the pieces that have meaning to you!
