BUSTING THE BRANDING SESSION MYTHS

As experts on all things Branding Sessions, we thought we’d help out those entrepreneurs that are considering taking the next step into their business journey. We’re busting common myths that we often hear when it comes to Branding Session photo shoots!

MYTH: “My brand and I aren’t established enough to do a Branding session.”  

Maybe you’re thinking:

‘I’d love to do a session, but I’m just getting started with my business.’

‘This isn’t for brands in my industry.’

‘This is too big of a commitment for my small business at this stage.’

Mmmm, you’re kidding yourself! It’s never too soon to take your brand and business seriously. There is NO better time than the present to capture the amazing services and products you have to offer. 

If you have social media or a website, then you have more than enough reason to get professional branding photos that will spice up your online presence. 

Branding sessions help to tell a story about the journey you have been on. It is GOOD to celebrate where you are, right  now, without a reason in the world except to embrace and love the hard work you’ve put in.

MYTH: “I’m too ______ to do a photo shoot.”

Your brain probably autocompleted that fill-in-the-blank with some insecurity that you truthfully do not need to worry about. Here’s the truth:

You’re not “too old” for a photo shoot. There is no such thing a the ‘correct’ age to take photos! Using headshots from the 80’s and 90’s just does not cut it anymore. Let your audience see you in a confident and authentic way. A Branding Session may actually be a great excuse for you to get comfortable in front of the camera.

You’re not “too camera-shy” or “photograph badly”. But chances are you have been photographed badly (yes, there’s a difference). Posing, set staging, outfit styling, and hair + makeup 100% transform the quality of a photograph. And not just in a Kardashian, overly caked and edited way.

Yup, we’re ending off with a curveball. The truth is, not everyone needs a Branding Session to be successful in their industry. When you’ve got an eye for good content, are comfortable in front of and behind the camera, can make the time to devote yourself to days of content creation, the list goes on – then you’re set! 👏🏻
